My Writing

I started writing somewhere around 10 years old. Like with any kid, there was a lot going on in my mind and in my life, and writing was a way of expressing it. Funny stuff, serious stuff, fantasy stuff, and lots of information type stuff. My Dad reminds me that I’ve always kind of been a walking data bank of facts, figures, and how to’s.

The Thirteen Staves was my first written journey into fantasy, wizards and magic staves (plural of staff). Not coincidentally, my alter ego was the star character of that story. Tribes, The Achorian Wars, Pacific, and The Descendants are all sci-fi and fantasy stories of mine in the works. And, no, I’m not going to give you any hints about the plots – you’ll just have to buy the books when they’re published :)

But most of my energy goes into putting together Special Reports for my 21 Things For Kids publishing company. It all started when I was 12 years old, writing a whole book titled 21 Success Messages for All Parents. Now I spin out important info titles like: 21 Money Magic Tricks For Kids, 21 Exercises Kids Can Do While Watching TV, 21 Must Have Social Skills For Kids, 21 Things All Smart Kid Do, and more. You can find all these publications for sale at my own website: 21thingsforkids.com (which may still be down, since I’m completely redoing the site right now).

My dad is a professional writer, so I guess I take after him. He writes children’s books mostly, and kids love them. They are full of fun and craziness, but always have a life lesson woven into the story. So I guess I get a lot of that from my Dad, too. We’re definitely best buds!

Anyway, remember my name – John Gabriel – ’cause I’m just getting started!
